Advocacy: At Work for You
The Nebraska Building Chapter and AGC of America represents you at state, federal and as needed, local levels of government. AGC’s goal is to represent the best interest of our members.
Here's how we do it:
- Local, State and Federal Advocacy: AGCA (Federal level) and Nebraska Building Chapter (state and local level) devote major time and effort all year long on government relations, public affairs issues, monitoring and advocating industry/business legislation and regulations. With guidance from members on the Legislative Committee, the Chapter develops positions on issues that impact the construction industry specifically today and in future. AGCA does the same thing at the federal level.
- Political Action Committee (Nebraska Construction Industry PAC): Established by the Chapter to support state legislative candidates who are supportive of the construction industry and are pro-business. Partial proceeds from the spring golf outing are added annually to the PAC fund. Voluntary donations are encouraged from members.
